Decorated Military Logistics Officer Michael Curtis Broughton

Michael Curtis Broughton is an experienced United States Army leader. As a Battalion Unit Movement Officer with the 1-52nd General Support Aviation Battalion, Michael Curtis Broughton had diverse leadership responsibilities in multi-modal environments, with tasks often involving rail load operations along Alaska’s limited and challenging highway network. He held numerous roles over more than 15 years of service, including several years as a logistics officer and senior logistics manager.

His military honors include multiple Army Commendation and Army Achievement Medals, a National Defense Service Medal, and a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, among many other awards. In 2017, Michael Curtis Broughton joined McLane Company as a corporate logistics analyst. This position involved working closely with executive stakeholders on data-driven solutions for the nation’s largest food and grocery distributor. He subsequently spent two years as a distribution center engineer at The Home Depot before joining Samsung as a senior logistics professional. He has extensive experience in profit and loss, including managing millions of dollars in national assets.

Academically, Michael Broughton studied transportation logistics with an air cargo emphasis at the American Military University School of Business and Management in Charles Town, West Virginia. He holds a master of science in industrial engineering from Northern Illinois University and a master of science in engineering and industrial distribution from Texas A&M College Station.
